Intruder alarms and perimeter protection

Fibre optic, microwave, electrostatic and volumetric

SCS’s overt and covert perimeter protection buys security staff at end-user sites valuable seconds when alerting on intrusions while first-responders and CCTV are deployed.

We offer our contractor partners a range of intelligent fencing and buried detection that balances minimization of defeat vulnerability with practicable levels of false and nuisance alarms.

Helping contractors with maritime challenges

Microphonic

Microphonic PIDS applied to mesh fencing system and set to detect cutting or other penetration both alerts on and deters intruders.

Covert piezoelectric

Transducers exploiting piezoelectric sensors can be concealed within walls and roofs for covert detection.

Passive infrared sensors

PIR sensors detect infrared radiated from heat-emitting agents. Detecting movement of infrared wavelengths can activate protection.

Our approach to perimeter protection

Distributed information

Facility managers often demand ‘double knock’ perimeter protection that involves an initial outlying trigger (usually a buried volumetric sensor at the edge of the estate) followed by verification of intrusion on the building perimeter. CNI and sectors with specific regulators such as pharmaceuticals are discerning users of perimeter sensors.

Precise co-ordinates of an intrusion are of little value if the location cannot be viewed on CCTV, and miscreants addressed by PA/VA. An SCS design will integrate the user interfaces of perimeter protection and video surveillance either bilaterally or globally through PSIM and other command & control products.
